Fantastic hosts !

Harry & Miranda are fantastic hosts. Flexible, generous with their time, and also provided some great local recommendations. As for the accommodation, it was simply beautiful. Simple and cozy. We wanted to get away from our busy city and business life, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Baillestavy is about a 25-minute drive from "civilization," and the wooded surroundings are perfect for long walks. The dark sky is excellent for stargazing. The accommodation itself offers incredible views of the rolling hills and mountains, ample amenities, and a fantastic fireplace to keep the first floor warm in the winter. If you have one, bring a machete or axe to gather firewood, or go to the local wood dealer to buy pre-cut wood. We will definitely be back, and thanks to Harry & Miranda for being so responsive, helpful, and truly wonderful hosts.

Breathtaking!

Everything was wonderful! Breathtaking views from every room—a peaceful and tranquil setting. You can see horses grazing in the field near the house. The place is a real gem: very comfortable, charming, and spotless. It has everything you need and truly feels like home. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Beautiful landscapes!

We enjoyed the beautiful weather for a week in these stunning landscapes. We did a circular hiking trail from Baillestavy to Vallmanyà and back. We also took the Train Jaune from Villefranche de Conflent to Font Romeu. A visit to Eus, a small mountain town, is also essential. It's also ideal if you want to do nothing and just relax. You'll need to stock up on supplies at the U-shaped supermarkets located in Prades or L'Ille-sur-Tet.

Simply perfect !

The stay was peaceful and relaxing in beautiful surroundings! Seeing the mountains from your window, watching the thunderstorms... Simply perfect! Even as a family, children can swim in the river below, and the lake is not far away.

We had a wonderful stay at Miranda's. The accommodation offers a sublime view of the valley and is comfortable. The area is peaceful and offers many mountain walks. We highly recommend it.

Spectacular view!

The house is situated at the top of the village, offering spectacular views and hiking opportunities. A word of advice: mosquito nets on the windows would make air conditioning unnecessary.

Beautiful house, beautiful location!

Nature, peace & space. Beautiful cottage, lovely location. Wonderful view. You hardly see anyone passing by. Friendly Flemish owner. The cottage is mainly suitable for two guests. Any more guests will have to sleep in the living room. The cottage is fully furnished, the kitchen very well-equipped with all modern appliances. In these summers, the air conditioning is necessary. The furniture in the living room is a bit worn, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. The garden is 10 meters from the house. It's in full sun. Two guests can lie in the shade of trees. The supermarket and bakery are at least half an hour away, so a fresh baguette every day isn't going to happen. The opening hours of the restaurant in the village are also very uncertain. But that shouldn't spoil the fun. Walking in the area is mainly for longer walks; hiking poles are definitely recommended because of the rough paths.

Everything clean and pleasant!

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Harry, the landlord, is very kind and gave us a very friendly welcome upon arrival. Everything is clean and comfortable, and the view is stunning, surrounded by wooded countryside. Because the surrounding area is relatively steep, you definitely need to be a good hiker and enjoy walking. The driveway to the cottage and down into the valley is via a fairly narrow but easily accessible pass road. The neighbors in the village are also incredibly friendly; we received many good tips for excursions and hikes and always chatted with the people in the village. All in all, a place that guarantees peace and relaxation, but also invites you to participate in a variety of activities – especially hiking, of course.

In a word, fantastic. The cottage itself, the welcome and explanation from the host, the location, the view. Friendly people in the hamlet. We were there at the end of February: spring-like during the day, and in the evenings the heat was nice and warm, and you could see the beautiful starry sky from the living room. Everything in the description was accurate. It was fantastic.

Deserved five stars!

This place deserves five stars because it's truly beautiful, with breathtaking valley views, original architecture, a charming village, and a walk that starts right from the house. The house is difficult to heat in the winter with just the air conditioning, but it remained comfortable thanks to the additional heating with oil and the wood stove, which warmed it up quickly. The hot water tank holds 80 liters, more than enough for two people. The house is also very well-equipped, in my opinion, and we had basic supplies like coffee, salt, and toilet paper.
